“Leaving the movie theater after the press screening, no journalist was talking about the script, the direction, or the flow of the film. What had swept us away was the sense of urgency it conveyed—an urgency that is hidden in the film’s title, ‘Mankind’s Folly’—and the apocalyptic images, ‘like Pink Floyd album covers,’ as Yorgos Avgeropoulos admits in the interview that follows.
